This guy sounds a bit nutty. We as a species are far too arrogant and self important. The answer to Fermi's paradox could be as simple as ...we are not ready for contact. An alien species that can traverse the universe to reach us has the technology not to be seen by our primitive equipment. If they even bother looking this way, why would they reveal themselves to us? We can barely get off our mudball! Think prime directive. Meddling with us would irrevocably change our whole trajectory. Maybe they are waiting for us to mature. Maybe they have better things to do. Maybe it's presumptuous of us to think that we are that interesting.
