1/2 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon Vanilla (I use Mexican Vanilla)
1 3/4 Cup Sifted Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Milk
12oz Chocolate Chips
Beat shortening until light, add brown sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla, blend well.
Sift flour, salt, and baking soda. Add alternatingly with milk to creamed mixture. Beat until smooth. Add chips and mix well.
Bake at 325 for 12 minutes (your oven may vary) until lightly browned.
