ESO ESO

I'm in beta again this weekend, oddly I'm semi looking forward to getting another chance to evaluate the game although to be honest there isn' a snowball's chance in hell it'll take me away from WoW as my p2p mmo

just been in for like 15 mins that was enough to make me want to delete it :p

Actually...I made it 30 mins in and then just uninstalled it. I find the game unbelievably boring in comparison to the other ES games and personally think there are going to be a ton of very disappointed people when this goes live.

I couldn't agree more! It's so bland! The scripting is terrible, the controls are atrocious and there was noting in it that made me even mildly excited. Nothing.

I really wanted very much to like this, very sad.

I found the first hour somewhat bland, too. But after that, I got hooked. :-) I am not saying that it is the best game I have ever played, but I like the combat system and, as with all Elder Scroll games, side quest are the exciting thing.

Does the world open up at all? I found it extremely annoying how segmented everything was. Like there is WoW open world where its literally one massive seamless world...then you have TSW open world where its massive zones that are segmented into manageable big chunks...and then ESO which seemed to just break everything into small pieces.

I know what you mean. And I don't know yet, since I am still in the below-lvl-10-let's-kill-some-rats-phase. (Meaning: I am still stuck on my faction's starting island. :p)

I played the beta this weekend (Got the invite to beta last week).
Have to say this game will be my next sub game. Love the slow leveling, and did not have the "I need to get to next level fast so I can stronger/get better gear" In my book thats a good thing.
Love you can loot almost anything (just like in other ES game). And then the crafting system uuh love it.. Love that you can make stuff you can use, run around the world and just get crafting mats.
Love that you have to explore the world just to be sure you get all the quest there is.
And the feel toward most NPC's, had some that I really started to make "feelings" for (care).

There was some bugs that I hope the get fixed before gold, but my next mmo.

Yeah, same here. Up to about level 5 I felt that it dragged a bit. But then... it took off for me! I had to force myself to shut down my computer and get some sleep. :P And my heart is wheeping when I think about the fact that my characters will get deleted. (And yes, the world does open up, Cercei!)

Crafting is a blast, I loved it. I also LOVED the combat system - for me, it is much better than the usual one in the Elder Scrolls games (I always sucked at them, so... :P). And while I thought in the beginning that they could make the mobs more difficult, I did later meet some challenging bosses, which was fun!

Can't wait for 4.4.2014 to arrive... Though I am not really willing to pay a monthly fee. I hope they'll make it free-to-play real soon.

ok guys! 1 question, is it an MMO??? or is another glorified RPG like SW:ToR?
Is there any interaction with other players? community feel??
You know what i mean :)

I am generally game to try any game friends want to play, however that being said, i have never, ever, even remotely liked any of the Elder scroll games in the past, so overrated imo! :P It does intrigue me a bit it will release on Xb1...can't imagine i wouldnt give it a 1 month try, but you have to drag me kicking and screaming :D

I feel bad for having a negative view of the game after seeing so many enjoying it...does it REALLY get that much better after you level up a bit?

like any other game sometimes it gets better after lvl 5 i think in first beta beecher and i went and joined the mage guild and fighter guild lol too bad she kept falling into the ground but it was enjoyable the first time around 2nd time didnt have the same drive to play it liek anything else i will give it a try but sub i wont do ill play for 30 days then see but i doubt it. .....(saving my loot for WS :p)

Can say that Boo, Sarsen, Pope and me is going to get the pre-order of ESO soon, and will then be ready to kick some live in LoMS in-game :)

My wife and I actually just decided to go with ESO over Wildstar this evening and both pre-ordered the Digital Imperial Edition. Do we have a LoMS chapter planned for there?
