Hollow Moon, an American style stout at 7.3% - with overtones of coffee and an accent of licorice and violets (opinions are divided on whether there is a violets foretaste). Good, although too much like a liquid coffee brownie for my personal taste, I could have it instead for dessert
Bottled the second beer today. More my taste. Sunlicker, at 5.3 vol%, a Saison American Pale Ale made with Batteromyces yeast and flavoured with fresh spruce shoots. The hops and the spruce flavours blend so well that it sometimes tastes piney and sometimes hoppy. Very happy for this one -- and I have a half a dozen bottles to keep me company until the weekend
