Healer Healing with 'Blood'

Given the number of players here that have reached or close to level 50, I was wondering if anyone has any insight as to effective 'Blood' healing builds?

Cheers. :)

Maybe I am the only one experimenting with healing through Blood at the moment, so I'll throw out my experience to date for consideration and comment.

My character is in the mid 20's at the moment, so I am yet to acquire enough points for the higher cost AP's and SP's.

At the moment I use the following for dungeons, etc:
Active Abilities: Mend, Redemption, Convalesce, Sanctuary and Dread Sigil. Plus one from my secondary weapon.
Passive Abilities: Soothe, Absolution, Lingering Curse and Rites of Refuge. Plus one for my secondary weapon.
Build philosophy: Four of my Blood skills are designed for healing which I throw out as necessary. When my martyrdom becomes an issue I redress the balance with Dread Sigil and, when I start running low of points I concentrate on Mend, being my heal basic. When healing is not an issue I supplement the DPS with my single attack skill from the secondary weapon (currently Mjolnir with Super Conductor passive; dread Sigil also helps out with AoE. The Rites of Refuge is used to reinforce the Blood Barriers as I think that more useful then the minor bonus in healing.
Cheers. :)

I've been healing with Blood/AR
Actives: Sanctuary, Eldritch Scourge, Runic Hex, Mend, and then Unveil Essence and Essence Grenades
Passives: Restorative Ward, Rites of Refuge, Explosives Expert, Paroxysm, Desolate.

It... works. I'd got enough healing. But I'm fucking bored when I don't need to heal. So I'm going to be experimenting around, as well as dropping AR (not liking it).

I do both sympathise and, empathise with the feelings about what to do when not healing. Still below level 50 (low forties as I type).
If it is of interest, the last build I used on Ankh was
Torment (For those times when I do not need to heal)
Eldritch Scourge with Desolate (Again, for the same reason)
Sanctuary with Rites of Refuge (To bolster those shields)
Redemption with Mercy (Seldom needed, but good for those moments)
Then with Elementalism Focus as my secondary weapon,
Mjolnir with Superconductor
Flash Freeze with Cryoblast

It seemed to work well, though my secondary was 'down' too often for my taste.

I'm thinking of carrying Pistols offhand.
Mend or Tormen (not sure which), Sanctuary (w/Rites of Refuge), Eldritch Scourge (w/Desolate), Runic Hex (w/Paroxysm)
Dual Shot (w/Fatal Shot), Clean Slate (w/ Rehabilitation)
Maybe?

Yeah, I didn't get much out of AR as a blood secondary either. It's HUGE for my Chaos/Doppleganger build (It's a hilarious high DPS solo build for me and my four imaginary friends, and Unveil Essence is a dream for it), but blood already has enough there.

Chaos is kind of fun with the 'paradox every few seconds' passive and the weapon that gives you a doppelganger at 8 paradoxes. It's a nice little DPS spike for doing absolutely nothing. Shotgun is similarly pretty fun with rocket pod and the passive. You can almost take a 'thorny' approach that way (with the passive that makes your barriers damage attackers)

I haven't experimented with much else, but Blood also doesn't seem to care about the secondary as much as some other weapons so there hasn't been much pressure.

If I could slot two basics, I'd go 100% blood.

Shotgun has crossed my mind. I'm trying pistols right now for the cleanse and an attack to pop, since pistol's mechanic is mostly passive.

Been using pretty much the same settup except Communion instead of ES as its good for thoose oh-shit moments where most of the group is in the wrong place at the wrong time when doing group finder elites...works well but can get boring with a good geared tank and dps that know what they are doing :)

Going heal/heal weapons is boring, but effective.
I'm running Pistols as my offhand now, just for some pewpews to do when nothing bad is happening.
That might change at higher difficulties past E1.

They did say in a dev stream a while back, that later elite levels would need more of a focus on healing than there early ones.
Im guessing its because they realised building up at 2nd set of kit at the start would be tricky.

What i was thinking of doing (im still in the 40´s spot) was gonna lvl dps talismans to around purple or 25 blue, which is easy enough. And i recon preforms well enough (?) Then going "all out" on healing.
Was actually tempted to go blood/fists. So i could buff someone with the dmg buff.
