Shopping for a new gaming PC

Oh wow that sucks.

However if your considering a desktop machine again...
I saw your comment about preferring a big ass monitor - Can highly recommend the 34-35 range of Ultrawide monitors that are available now. Was going to specifically recommend the Acer X34 Predator, but that seems to have been super-seeded now by a newer model. Any which way, the combo of 3440 x 1440 resolution, G-sync, and high refresh rate, makes these monitors utterly wonderful to use. The only small niggle with them is that many games need small fixes to cope with the ultrawide resolution.

Ahem. You need 2 big-ass monitors. One for the game, one for everything else. You will not regret it.

Well, once Digital Storm got the broken pc back, it took them a month to say, “Yup. It broke.” Then they wanted to charge me $495 to fix it.

No. So much no. (Which is the nice way to say I lost my damn mind.)

I got a refund and ordered a boring old cyberpower pc. It arrived today so I’ll be setting up tonight.

*finger crossed* this one works.

Ooooooh - pics! (or it didn't happen) - even better than pics: see you ingame <3

All-in-ones typically use mobile graphics cards to account for space and heat limitations, meaning you're going to get a laptop-quality GPU in a desktop-class computer.

Have you considered building your own PC? I know it seems like a daunting task, but it's really pretty simple to do these days.

It's liquid cooled, the graphics card is mounted at the bottom with a water block ;)

Atleast you managed to get a refund :)

I went to Origins PC for my current machine. I've been building PC since 1983, yes that is correct, 1983. I'm tired of doing it and I went to Origins PC, they use to the Area 51 before Dell bought them out. It is all the original people and some pretty darn smart folks. Long story short, I didn't want to spend my life savings on a system, but I pretty well knew what I wanted. They helped me put together a system that met my gaming needs plus my photographic needs, which are much more important than my gaming needs.

I did some research before going to the store and so knew what i wanted. Thankfully one of the models was mostly what i wanted and i just had to wait a couple of days for them to get the liquid cooling and such for it. Also i recommend getting 2+ monitors, so nice being able to use my center monitor for gaming, right for youtube and such, and the left for everything else. Can't live with just 1 monitors now.

Origin and Dell like 10m from my house lol, friend used to be at Alienware, I would rather hardline h20 my stuff still on my own ;)

That computer stand on that black mat makes me think of a scoop neck shirt... so your desk looks like a person with a monitor for a head! Can't unsee that, now you can't either.
